Dear Friends – in my view, it’s role has been changing for quite some time. I would love to hear your insights into this. To get the ball rolling, I would like to share the following with you:

THE CHANGING ROLE OF SPIRITUAL MEDIUMSHIP

Consulting spiritual mediums and reading what is commonly known these days as channelled writings has never appealed to me. The samples of their work I have seen failed to convince me of its merits. It is not for the want of trying, but each time I took part in something of this nature, I very soon felt the response from my inner guide and teacher, my intuition, which said: ‘No; this is not for you!’ Naturally, I can only speak for myself, but much of that which came my way through spiritual mediums was in my view too negative. All too frequently for my liking it seemed to be aimed at inspiring fear rather than bringing renewed hope that all is well with us and our world, no matter what may ever befall us.

Ever since my first encounter with spiritual mediumship, the one great exception for me has been the White Eagle group of guides and the person they worked through, Grace Cooke. During and after one of the darkest and most traumatic times on our planet, the Second World War, this team of light-workers on both sides of the veil of consciousness demonstrated that the world of spirit has much more precious gifts to bestow than that which seems to be commonly given by this means of communication.

The White Eagle work was designed to bring to our world a better understanding of the deeper purpose and meaning of our experiences. For many they succeeded in bringing encouragement and renewed faith and trust in their present existence. Long before I ever knew of White Eagle I shared their view that this is what our world needs more than anything else. The way I see it, mediumship and channelling have been right for a time, but now we are all ready to re-attune ourselves to the Source of our being. Now, we are required to stop searching for truth in sources outside of ourselves. Instead, we need to turn within, to our Highest Self, our inner guide and Master. This is the only truly reliable guru who really does know the way of all things and the answers to all our questions.

If we wish to make our dreams of a world where all live together in peace and harmony into a reality, we all must turn into seekers of spiritual wisdom who consciously strive to act as channels for Divine truth which can only be found in everybody’s own heart and soul, and speaks to us through the responses that rise from the world of feelings. Any information that comes to us we need to filter through this part; by listening to its responses we can find truth and will always know, in any given situation, that which is right or wrong for us.

The highest and the brightest star in the whole of Creation is the spirit of the Universal Christ, the Christ Spirit who worked and spoke though the Master Jesus. Through him and his life our world was shown what can be achieved when this spirit is working through a highly evolved soul, as it attunes itself ever more to the Great Light. Because of the advances our individual and collective awareness of matters related to the spirit world has made by now the approach to spiritual mediumship is changing considerably. That is why wise ones now practise their skills and use their psychic gifts to help others to find a better understanding of their own true nature and the gifts that lie hidden inside each and every one of us.

The way I see it, the whole life of the Master was a demonstration of how each soul in its own right and in the fullness of time has the potential for developing into a teacher and a healer in its own right. For this purpose every soul must learn to call upon and tap into its inner resources and build up its spiritual and psychic abilities. This enables it to act as spiritual mediums and channels through which the Divine healing energy and wisdom can flow into all who are in need of it. Through this work the veil of consciousness that has separated our two worlds for a very long time slowly dissolves, the soul’s Divine spark is activated and the Christ spirit is coming fully alive in it and another Christ is born in our world.

By channelling the healing energy of the Universal Christ into humankind and teaching us Its wisdom, Jesus in the course of his ministry became the Christed one. The Master was one of the main pathfinders and pioneers of the Aquarian Age; and we are all now going the same way. Jesus was by no means the first Christed one who appeared in our world; he will most certainly not be the last one because each one of us in the fullness of time is destined to become a Christed one, in their own right. Like him, each one of us is in this life to welcome the loving spirit of the Christ onto the Earth, the same as Jesus and all other Masters who appeared in our world before and after him.

Each one of them gave unselfishly of their wisdom and love, to help struggling humankind in its infancy and childhood to find its way back into its true nature, knowing that eventually each one of us would finally be enlightened, too. To achieve this, each must do their share of teaching and healing, and give of their best to make a new and peaceful world a reality on the Earth plane. Our spirituality needs to be grounded by applying the knowledge we find to the circumstances of our daily lives and by our constant endeavours to be true to our real nature.
