Yesterday I heard something disturbing on the news....as usual....but this time more disturbing that when a group of Haitians on a boat were trying to come to America they were told to turn back because we would not be accepting them with open arms. Our Military would intercept them and send them back....

Given the current disaster I would hope that we would be more open to accepting them. And I'm not so sure that the government and military are representing the wishes of this countries people.

These are catastrophic circumstances and we should have an open door policy for Haitians.

CALL TO FRANCE! These are people who speak a French dialect and although a little different are comprehensible to me, one who speaks French. Where are the open arms of France reaching out to these individuals?

These are beautiful, warm souls and I'm ashamed that the media and anyone in power in this country would reject these people in their greatest time of need. They are suffering...
