I'm hoping to make this a weekly posting where I highlight a feature of our site that might be misunderstood. Today's feature is Tagging. The Internet has had a huge impact on our daily lives. Information that was once difficult to find is now just a keystroke away. People that are thousands of miles (or kilometers) away are now interacting hourly through sites like this one, and other similar sites. As a people we all have something to say, something we feel important to share with other people, and more often than not we want to hear what others have to say. But how do you get to the information you want to hear? Here at Starlight Journal, and at many other popular social sites, we use tags. When you write a blog entry you have the option to enter a tag, or more, that helps people find what you're entry is about. On the right hand side of the page you'll see a section titled Popular Subjects where all the tags we enter get listed. Words that are bigger than others show that these are tags that are used more than others. So tag your stuff, so people can find your stuff!
