The Art of Dreaming, Part 4: Dream Interpretation
Have you ever wondered about being able to understand your dreams? It is a fascinating subject that many people are interested in, and it is possible to learn how to practice the fine art of dream interpretation. Dreams can reveal much about our mental and emotional state in ways that we are not conscious of, normally. It can be a very useful and worthy endeavor to find the meaning of dreams, whether one chooses to use a dream interpretation dictionary or not. Online dream interpretation can be a handy tool to have, however, for quick reference!
While a dream dictionary can be useful for directly accessing these dream meanings, it may or may not apply itself accurately to your personal dream symbols, depending on what is going on in your life and how you are coping with it. Much of the interpretation of dreams depends on your relationship to a particular dream symbol, based on your history or personal preferences. For example, how is it that you relate to water – do you love to swim, or are you very frightened of drowning? That will affect the meaning of water in your dream.
Therefore it might be fruitful to refer to a specific dream interpretation book that is more tailored to a psychological modality. In this regard, a dictionary for “spiritual dream interpretation” would point you in a direction that directly reflects this kind of a soul journey. As such, this particular dictionary of dreams might be more directly applicable to your dreaming process, given your desire to grow in this way.
The meaning of dreams can be a fascinating path to explore, for it will indicate many things to a person about themselves. Dream symbol interpretation is something that can be learned easily by learning to remember your dreams, and noticing what recurring patterns may be running through them. If you begin to look at the symbols in your dreams with a dream interpretation dictionary, it is important to ask yourself questions about how a dream meaning within it might be currently true, or not, about you and/or your life. If you begin to practice this, you can begin a process of finding out more and more what the meaning of dreams might be, for you alone. In this way, you can begin to build a personal dream dictionary!
